Before starting any digging work or excavation, it’s always essential to know what’s underneath the site. The consequences of accidentally damaging items such as underground power cables or oil tanks can be dangerous and expensive. Our dedicated qualified staff at GPR One Call put us at the forefront of providing safe, reliable, and expert underground location services.

OSHA Training

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) describes training requirements across specific industries and workplace and job site health and safety instances. Our staff attends several of these certification courses.

OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety: This entry-level course trains workers to recognize, prevent, and remedy health and safety hazards commonly found on construction sites and in the general industry. Successful completion gives the attendee an official Department of Labor (DOL card).

OSHA 40-hour (HAZWOPER): This 40-hour certificate course is for personnel likely to be involved in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) situations. Additionally, personnel receives three days of supervised field experience.

OSHA Confined Space Entry: This training details how to work safely in tight, restricted places and potential hazards.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED: Workers receive training in identifying and responding to first aid situations, including respiratory and cardiac emergencies.

Additional Technical Training

To stay at the forefront of underground location detecting, our staff uses the latest techniques in electromagnetic (EM) and ferromagnetic (FM) detection, as well as ground penetrating radar (GPR). They receive comprehensive technical training in these fields.

Staking University Three-day Electromagnetic Locating: Held at Staking University, Illinois, hands-on training focuses on the functionality of EM locating equipment.

MALA Geoscience GPR Equipment & Software Certification: Training in a specific brand of GPR equipment – MALA Geoscience. Includes collecting and processing data with the built-in software.
